Once you’ve met with a member of the sales staff and decided on the vehicle you want, inform the salesman that you have a trade-in vehicle. From there, they’ll take down some vital information, such as your vehicle’s identification number.

Someone will then use that information to run your vehicle’s history with an eye for service reports, accidents, and other potential problems. Meanwhile, the used car manager will perform a quick visual inspection and take your vehicle for a quick test drive.

If all goes well and there aren’t any complications, such as a salvage title, the used car manager will check out what the fair price for your car is. While they do this, they’ll be happy to answer any questions that you may have.
